EP 03: How Biochemistry and Genes Impact Your Brain with Dr. Albert Mensah, MD, BCIP

Our stories are extremely powerful and contain genetic, epigenetic, and transgenerational narratives.

Educating yourself with the facts surrounding accurate testing and treatment provides a powerful pathway to healing the brain and body.

In my last episode, I discussed how nutrient deficiencies and overloads impact the brain and body.

In today’s episode, I’m speaking with Dr. Albert Mensah about genetics, epigenetics, the controversial MTHFR test, as well as misconceptions and dangers about the different forms of folic acid and their impact on the in utero environment.

Dr. Mensah is a world-renowned leader and teacher and methylation disorders. He is the co-founder of Mensah Medical in Warrenville, Illinois, a clinic that specializes in the treatment of biochemical imbalances and the cognitive and physical disorders caused by those imbalances. Since 2005 Dr. Mensah has treated over 30,000 patients using all-natural, non-pharmaceutical targeted nutrient therapy.

His practice focuses on the management and treatment of cognitive disorders such as autism, behavior and learning disorders, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety syndromes, childhood and adult schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease, as well as family medicine.

Dr. Mensah regularly presents at international conferences, trains physicians in advanced nutrient therapy techniques, and is board certified in integrative pediatrics by the American Association of Integrative Medicine.

Sami, after listening to this wonderful episode, I feel bathed in gratitude that I followed my intuition 3 years ago and went to Mensah Medical for evaluation of brain imbalances for which I had sought answers for decades.

I got answers then and a protocol (which continue to bring me healing) and then brought you onto my team to give me additional support. Every time I listen to you and Dr. Mensah, I understand more deeply my biochemistry, and the synergy between the two of you enhances that.
