Overmethylated individuals—the opposite of undermethylation—require folate to reduce an overload of methyl groups. This condition leads to excessive production of neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Having too many of these neurotransmitters can cause brain hyperexcitability, resulting in high anxiety, rumination, restlessness, food and chemical sensitivities, paranoia, and sleep problems.
I created my High Folate Diet Cookbook to help people with overmethylation reduce their excess methyl groups. Check out my High Folate Diet Cookbook today for incredible, delicious recipes.
“I’m amazed by the amount of research and specificity contained in Sami’s cookbooks. Her lists of the most nourishing foods to heal my copper overload, undermethylation, and Pyrrole disorder are very extensive and the recipes are delicious. In fact, I don’t feel deprived at all and I have peace knowing I am on the right healing path for my biochemistry.”
